Owning the product strategy for the End User Experience portfolio. Driving product development to create efficient, personalized experiences for users to manage their employment benefits. Portfolio goals include increasing employee engagement on web and mobile channels, reducing service center calls by 10%, and improving product competitiveness to support $20M ARR in new sales.
Driving the conversion of clients to a new React employee portal technology leading to a $6M cost savings over the next two years and a 75% page load time improvement.
Managed the launch of a new mobile app with over 100k downloads in 6 months, a parent-child site template feature that reduced implementation times by 69%, and expansion of the Emma Virtual Assistant chatbot to 1.5M more lives to increase call center savings by $300k.

Built and scaled a Product Management practice from 2 to 5 employees to execute a SaaS startup growth strategy. Developed processes for the Product team to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework including: writing acceptance criteria, backlog management, project kickoffs with Stakeholders, and release planning.
Defined an MVP product strategy for Path Assist, a SDOH Health Equity tech-enabled service. Introduced a measurable Outcomes-based Product and Services Roadmap to facilitate innovation and design thinking. The Product team achieved 100% of set client recruitment and engagement OKRs.
Iterated the 0 to 1 Product-Market fit for Path Assist to build a 200-patient pilot to prove operational feasibility and NCQA compliance. Established an omni-channel client recruitment strategy which led to a 70% SMS opt-in rate for Medicaid recipients.
Owned the roadmap and set new pricing for Community Care Record, a SaaS care coordination tool, which increased sales and renewal revenues by 15%. Presented the product strategy and roadmap to the Activate Care Board to justify Product Development spending.
Drove $800k in new Community Care Record sales and a 50% increase in monthly new patient records during 2021. Community Care Record provided $3M in revenue.

Led the rebuild of the Careport Denial Management module from concept to GTM launch for over 200 clients onto an Angular/Bootstrap UI with an offshore development team. Facilitated all user and market research for the Denial and Appeals rebuild to identify market needs to address a $262 billion cost burden to the US healthcare system.
Driving the building of features in CarePort Care Management to support the current $55M/year client base.
Facilitated user research and provided design inputs into a project to support Discharge Planning into post-acute care providers for COVID-19 positive patients.
Informed the roadmap by researching and prioritizing potential new features for Care Management.

Executed all UX activities in the development of the Valleylab FT10 and next generation electrosurgical generators; including touchscreen UI design, Formative and Summative usability testing, and use error risk analysis.
User Experience Engineer, Premier, Inc. (formerly TheraDoc); Salt Lake City — 2012 - 2015
Assisted a market research project to identify new markets for possible Health IT line and brand extensions. Facilitated over 10 interviews and design concept reviews to identify and validate market problems for the development of a “greenfield” clinical surveillance product.
Introduced and executed a UX practice into the organization to support growth of a $30M/year TheraDoc clinical surveillance product. Built a UX Library containing User Research findings, Personas, and several UI mockups and prototypes supporting Clinical Pharmacy and Infection Prevention workflows.
Developed 6 Personas for all the primary TheraDoc users based on User Research. These Personas were utilized as a training tool for new hires and educating members of the Product Development team around key user needs.
Facilitated dozens of WebEx and onsite User Research interviews with Pharmacists and Infection Control Practitioners in order to gather user needs and identify TheraDoc usability issues. Established baseline usability metrics, such as task times and number of user clicks, through moderated usability studies.
Developed over 15 User Interface wireframes focused on Clinical Pharmacy workflows, Infection Prevention documentation, real-time clinical notifications, and clinical rule authoring for both desktop and mobile platforms.
Authored a Usability Engineering Process document for the TheraDoc Quality Management System.

Managed 2-person User Experience Research team and developed processes to improve User Research activities to promote better understanding of end user workflows, environmental conditions, and interactions to support design solutions. Authored a User Research Best Practices document, created a User Research Library to promote better sharing of user data, and introduced Usability Studies as a method of design validation.
Interaction Designer, Pharmacy OneSource; Madison, WI — 2008 - 2010
Led User Research and Interaction Design for Sentri7, an electronic surveillance application. Efforts led to improvements for both Clinical Pharmacists and Infection Control Practitioners. Design work included the addition of new widgets to display information on the surveillance dashboard, a positive microbiology culture work list, easier to read lab data trending and indications of corrections, and a medication panel with added flexibility for displayed data.
Led User Research and Interaction Design efforts for the re-design of Simplifi797, a USP 797 compliance management application. Design efforts included a more usable dashboard, more efficient batch process data entry, additional tasks and competencies to track compliance, and an improved, up-to-date aesthetic design.
Facilitated User Research and Interaction Design efforts for the re-design of UnitStock, a medication inspection compliance application. Efforts lead to the release of VeriForm which included more flexibility to create check list inspection forms and criteria, added inspection scheduling flexibility, improved table layout of upcoming and completed inspections, and expanded reporting capabilities.
Usability Engineer/Localization Coordinator, GE Healthcare (formerly Datex-Ohmeda); Madison, WI — 2004 - 2008
Designed and usability-tested a simplified user interface layout on the Engstrom Ventilator for minimally trained users in mass-casualty situations. This simplified user interface tested successfully with secondary ventilator users, increased maximum viewing distances for isolation rooms, and was seen by many as a means to train new users of the ventilator.
Managed all design and user research activities for new features on the Engstrom Ventilator User Interface. Features included a suction procedure, improved backup ventilation mode, lung mechanics measurements, and neonatal capabilities.
